2023 Reflections

  • JANUARY

    • Began the year blissfully, celebrating a new engagement in Hawaii over Christmas. I started new paintings, designed summer art camps, enjoyed snowy days, and committed to regularly working out with friends.

  • FEBRUARY

    • Visited the Kirkland Museum with my talented friend, Annie Polk, and got inspired by the amazing collections. Created a bunch of repeating patterns for baby swaddle designs, and worked on a commission.

  • MARCH

    • Got a new patio in the backyard to accommodate my growing art classes, started working on my wall altar series in clay, heard Jane Goodall speak, and taught myself how to make plaster molds.

  • APRIL

    • Designed our wedding rings, soaked in hot springs, painted horses, made ceramics, had my first professional photoshoot, and was awarded an Art Business Acceleration grant from Dolan and Ali Marie Geiman.

  • MAY

    • Painted mystical animals, had eye surgery, experimented with glazes, joined Tessalations for a market with the Denver Bazaar, paddleboarded on Gross Reservoir, and finished out the year strong teaching art at The Logan School for Creative Learning.

  • JUNE

    • Taught 3 awesome weeks of art camp and shared creativity with some amazing kids!

  • JULY

    • Went on an amazing road trip to Glacier National Park and painted my Love Letters to the West series. When we got home, we received devastating news that our niece was in a terrible car accident that paralyzed her from the waist down. My brother’s family came to visit and Greg taught at a music camp, but July was a big blur of sadness.

  • AUGUST

    • Painted and paddle boarded. Met awesome new collectors at Firefly Handmade Market.

  • SEPTEMBER

    • Painted cacti, started the school year, camped in the Flat Top Wilderness, got an e-bike, visited Telluride, celebrated my birthday.

  • OCTOBER

    • Painted 2 commissions, puppy sat, saw the eclipse, did an online marketing course with the city of Denver, designed new silk scarves, visited the Art Museum.

  • NOVEMBER

    • Spent time in meadows, did a videoshoot with Tigermoon Productions, prepped for the holidays, visited more hot springs, rode bikes in the mountains, spent time with family.

  • DECEMBER

    • The year finished off with 4 fantastic markets. I connected with new collectors & creatives, visited the Paint Mines of Colorado, and spent a night enjoying Desert Reef Hot Springs.
