Capitol Reef Canopy (Canopy Reef, UT)
A view of monolithic rock formations near Capitol Reef, UT. The scene was captured from the refuge of a lone cottonwood tree next to a dry riverbed. After walking the riverbed in search of animal tracks and treasures, I sat and sketched the rocks, in awe of their geologic story. Part of my series, Love Letters to the West.
