St Elmo is a ghost town in a mountain valley rich with geothermal springs. Situated near the Collegiate Peaks, the valley glows gold every fall with stands of aspen growing along the banks of Chalk Creek.
St Elmo in Gold is part of my series, Love Letters to the West, small paintings made as love notes to the Western landscapes I hold close. I hope it inspires you to slow down and enjoy the view.
